Job Summary: We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Millwright / Electrician to join our maintenance team. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining, repairing, and installing mechanical and electrical systems in our facility. In addition, this role requires the ability to sign off Certificates of Compliance (COCs) for electrical work, ensuring all work is completed according to safety regulations, industry standards, and company policies. Key Responsibilities: Perform installation, maintenance, and repair of machinery, mechanical systems, and electrical systems within the facility. Troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair mechanical and electrical faults, including motors, drives, control systems, and other industrial machinery. Carry out preventive maintenance (PM) and predictive maintenance (PdM) tasks to ensure the smooth operation of equipment and minimize downtime. Conduct routine checks and inspections on electrical installations, systems, and machinery, ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations. Complete wiring, testing, and troubleshooting of electrical systems, including control panels, circuit breakers, and motor control systems. Ensure all work complies with relevant codes, standards, and safety regulations. Prepare and submit Certificates of Compliance (COCs) for electrical installations and repairs. Assist in the development and implementation of maintenance schedules and procedures. Maintain accurate maintenance logs, including work performed, parts used, and any issues or discrepancies. Ensure proper documentation of all electrical work, including installation diagrams, circuit diagrams, and maintenance records. Support the training and mentoring of junior maintenance staff and apprentices. Participate in emergency breakdowns and repairs, often after-hours, as required. Maintain a clean and organized workspace, adhering to safety and environmental standards. Work closely with other team members, contractors, and supervisors to meet production and maintenance goals. Educational Background: Trade qualification in Electrical Engineering, Millwrighting, or related field. Valid electrical license (preferably recognized in your region/country). COC (Certificate of Compliance) accreditation and ability to sign off on electrical work. Experience: Minimum of 3 years of experience as a Millwright and/or Electrician, with a proven track record of industrial electrical and mechanical maintenance. Experience in diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining complex electrical and mechanical systems in a manufacturing or industrial environment. Knowledge of automation systems, PLCs, and motor control systems is highly advantageous. Ability to read and interpret electrical diagrams, blueprints, and technical manuals. Skills and Competencies: Strong understanding of electrical safety and regulations. Ability to troubleshoot and repair a wide range of industrial electrical and mechanical equipment. Proficiency in using hand and power tools for both mechanical and electrical work. Excellent problem-solving and diagnostic skills. Ability to work independently or as part of a team. Strong communication skills and attention to detail. Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment. Additional Requirements: Ability to work flexible hours, including on-call shifts and weekends as needed. Comfortable working at heights, in confined spaces, and with hazardous materials when required. Valid drivers license (if travel between sites is required). Desirable: Experience with PLC programming and troubleshooting. Previous experience in a similar industrial sector (e.g., manufacturing, processing, etc.). Working Conditions: Full-time position On-site work in an industrial setting. Occasional shift work and emergency call-outs may be required. Benefits: Competitive salary based on experience.
