Senior Store Manager – Fresh Produce

Our Client is seeking an experienced and dynamic Senior Store Manager to oversee the operations of a Fresh Produce Fruit and Veg retail store in Mafikeng. The ideal candidate will be passionate about fresh produce, customer satisfaction, and leading a high-performing team to achieve operational excellence and sales growth. Key Responsibilities: Operational Management: Oversee day-to-day store operations, ensuring compliance with company standards and policies. Manage inventory levels to minimize waste and maximize freshness and availability. Implement and monitor health, safety, and food quality standards. Sales and Financial Performance: Drive sales targets and profitability through effective merchandising and customer service. Analyze sales data and implement strategies to improve performance. Prepare and manage budgets, including cost control and expense management. Team Leadership and Development: Recruit, train, and motivate store staff to deliver excellent customer service and meet operational goals. Foster a positive working environment that encourages teamwork and professional growth. Conduct regular performance evaluations and address any staff concerns promptly. Customer Experience: Ensure a clean, well-organized, and welcoming shopping environment. Resolve customer complaints effectively and promptly. Develop strategies to enhance the overall customer shopping experience. Qualifications and Skills: Minimum 5 years of experience in retail management, preferably in fresh produce, food, or FMCG sectors. Strong knowledge of fresh produce handling, storage, and merchandising. Proven ability to manage store operations, inventory, and staff effectively. Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Proficiency in retail software and MS Office. Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays. Educational Requirements: A diploma or degree in Retail Management, Business Administration, or a related field is preferred.
