Senior Financial Accountant

Duties: Financial Transaction Recording: Accurately record daily financial transactions in the appropriate journals. Bank Reconciliations: Reconcile bank statements with company records, addressing any discrepancies. Cashbook Management: Maintain and update the cashbook, ensuring the correct recording of receipts and payments. Fixed Asset Management: Oversee the fixed asset register, including handling acquisitions, disposals, and depreciation. VAT Compliance: Calculate, record, and submit VAT returns, ensuring full compliance with tax regulations. Foreign Currency Transactions: Manage and record foreign currency transactions, including necessary exchange rate adjustments. Financial Reporting: Prepare financial reports and assist with the preparation of financial statements. General Ledger Accuracy: Ensure the accuracy of general ledger accounts and assist with month-end and year-end closings. Internal Controls: Implement and maintain internal controls to ensure compliance with accounting standards and regulations. Qualifications & Experience: Completed BCom Degree Completed SAICA articles 3-5 years of solid commercial accounting experience Experience with Sage 300 is a plus Advanced Excel skills are essential to succeed in this role If you are interested in this opportunity, please apply directly.
