Job Description

The ideal candidate will possess a proven track record in driving revenue growth through strategic prospecting, closing new business opportunities, and fostering team excellence. This role combines strategic leadership with hands-on sales activities to ensure the achievement of ambitious sales targets. Key Responsibilities Deliver success against KPI targets and plans by effectively managing the sales team. Recruit, onboard, and train a high-performing team of Sales Development Representatives (SDRs) to generate qualified leads. Communicate and report precise performance metrics for the sales team. Prospect, target, identify, and cultivate new business opportunities across territories. Work closely with account executives to close new deals. Achieve set productivity and booked meeting targets. Build and maintain a robust rolling booked meeting opportunity pipeline. Monitor SDR performance, pipeline metrics, and lead conversion rates to ensure consistent results. Foster a culture of accountability, motivation, and collaboration within the team. Ensure that the team's admin is up-to-date in the CRM system. Create a positive learning environment that empowers and develops Lead Associates, Senior Associates, and Associates. Respond appropriately to disciplinary issues, maintaining a standard of conduct that aligns with company values and expectations. Conduct team meetings, daily huddles, and one-on-one coaching sessions to align on goals and progress. Create and sustain a high-quality work environment that motivates team members, fostering engagement and transparency rooted in company values. Key Competencies and Experience Required Minimum of 2 years in a sales team leader position within the SaaS sector. Familiarity with the sales process and ability to manage the daily behaviour of the team. Results-oriented with a proven track record of meeting and exceeding sales targets. Strong leadership and management skills, with accountability for the sales team's performance. Proficient in CRM software and ability to manage pipeline metrics and performance. Must have experience managing teams within the USA. Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) Achieve monthly revenue target. Achieve a specific percentage of team sales each month/quarter. Daily call targets. Monthly Sales Qualified Leads (SQL). Talk time targets. Working Hours 4:00 PM – 1:00 AM (November to March) 3:00 PM – 12:00 AM (March to November) Other Requirements Must have reliable transport. Matric Certificate A Diploma and/or Degree or equivalent in Business, Marketing, Sales, or a related field would be advantageous.
