Senior Network Security (Fortinet) Engineer - (Sandton)

Salary: Negotiable based on experience. Our client is seeking a highly motivated Senior IT Network Security Engineer to join their dynamic and energetic team of security specialists. Customers utilize a wide range of security technologies, including next-generation firewalls, VPN, SD-WAN, threat prevention, secure web gateways, CASB, authentication, and endpoint protection. Key Responsibilities: Administer and configure various security technologies (predominantly Fortinet ) Provide ongoing support and troubleshooting Perform system upgrades and patching Respond to security alerts Generate and analyze security reports Required Experience & Qualifications: Minimum 3-5 years of hands-on experience in a network security engineer role At least 2 years of experience working with Fortinet products (mandatory) Relevant tertiary/industry qualifications in IT systems, networking, and security (preferably with Fortinet certification) Desirable Skills & Attributes: Excellent written and verbal communication skills A systematic approach to tasks Strong problem-solving abilities Attention to detail Positive, energetic, and collaborative mindset Please Note: This is not a remote position.
