Production Manager

Wirquin Manufacturing (Pty) Ltd as part of the Wirquin Group is a leading manufacturer and distributer of Sanitaryware in South Africa and abroad. We have an exciting opportunity available for a dynamic, energetic individual to join our team in Kariega. RESPONSIBILITIES To work with all production, maintenance and warehouse personnel, admin and management. Responsible for implementation of production processes and procedures. Manage Production KPIs and ensure preventative actions are taken to maximise results. JOB REQUIREMENTS: § Teamwork Coach and mentor direct reports § Identify, select and apply organisational policies and procedures & implement group values & behaviours § Represent the company in internal and external forums § Preparation of daily / weekly / monthly internal Management and Group reporting § Ensure that Production proceeds in accordance with the Manufacturing plan and that all deliveries are on time § Ensure that all resources are optimally utilized so that the product cost per standard hour is minimised § Ensure that all products are manufactured in accordance with specified standards and relevant work instructions are correctly followed in order to achieve excellent quality § Lead the Production team with daily tasks, projects and operations § Ensure that all Production personnel are adequately trained and possess the relevant skills to carry out their jobs effectively § Drive and implement cost reduction plans § Prepares the department budget, Capex and Saving plans Prepare KPI and attend Management Review meetings § Attend DPM meetings and implement actions from the meeting § Conduct pre-operating inspections with Maintenance to determine operational fitness and safety of machine and the environment (new and refurbished) § Participate in all relevant safety, health and environmental issues in the workplace § Allocate, monitor and adjust resources to meet changing needs § Actively engage in continuous improvement practices § Communicates the strategic vision clearly, adopts a corporate approach and inspire the team to achieve its goals. § Change Management MINIMUM JOB REQUIREMENTS AND SPECIALISED SKILLS § Tertiary Education in Manufacturing and/or Engineering related field § Excel spreadsheets, PowerPoint Presentation Skills § Project management will be advantageous § 5-year experience in Industry LANGUAGE SPOKEN: · English & Afrikaans BEHAVIOUR SKILLS: · Exemplarity, transparency, team spirit · Both business & people oriented · Adaptation Skills · Good communication skills and people management
