Systems Engineer

Key Responsibilities: Alerting and Escalation: Set up alerting mechanisms to proactively detect and respond to incidents. Escalate critical issues to appropriate teams and stakeholders. Linux Administration and Maintenance: Manage and maintain Linux servers, including installation, configuration, and patch management. Implement security measures and best practices for Linux-based systems. Active Directory Admin and Maintenance: Manage user accounts, groups, and permissions in Active Directory. Perform routine maintenance tasks and ensure the security of AD infrastructure. DNS Admin and Maintenance: Configure and manage DNS servers and zones. Troubleshoot DNS-related issues and ensure DNS resolution reliability. End-User Support: Provide technical support and assistance to end-users for infrastructure-related issues. Resolve hardware, software, and connectivity problems promptly. Database Administration (PostgreSQL): Manage PostgreSQL databases, including installation, configuration, and performance tuning. Perform routine maintenance tasks such as backups, restores, and upgrades. Qualifications and Skills: 3 years of experience in a Systems Engineer role or a similar position. Strong Linux administration skills, including shell scripting and troubleshooting. Familiarity with Active Directory administration and DNS management. Excellent communication and problem-solving skills. Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
