Project Manager / Design Manager

We have a client with an amazing opportunity based in Durban, KwaZulu-Natal Role : Project Manager / Design Manager Industry : Design Consultancy / Engineering Level : Mid-Senior to Senior Key Requirements: Bachelor's degree in Architecture, Engineering, or a related field. Proven experience as a Design Manager or in a similar role within a design consultancy environment. Strong background in managing design aspects of Architecture, Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing (MEP), and Structural Engineering projects. Strong understanding of design processes from concept to completion, with a focus on quality, timelines, and client satisfaction. Proficiency in design management software and tools. Familiarity with project management principles and methodologies; PMP certification is a plus. Exceptional communication skills, with the ability to interact effectively with internal teams, clients, and stakeholders. Personal Attributes: Detail-oriented with a strong commitment to quality and design excellence. A natural leader, able to foster a collaborative and creative team culture. Exceptional organizational skills and the ability to manage competing priorities. Proactive and solution-focused with a strong problem-solving mindset. Ability to remain calm under pressure and manage tight deadlines.
