Mass Properties Engineer

Job Description:

Degree level or equivalent in Aeronautical or Mechanical Engineering preferred, with a minimum of 4 to 8 years of experience in Mass Properties Analysis, Weight Management, Weight Calculation, Design Reviews, Collaboration.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide component and detailed mass properties (weight, center of gravity, inertia) and contribute to the component optimisation process.
• Define weight status, target weights (detailed parts and component level), route to target and track weight risk & opportunities.
• Calculate delivery component weight, and perform actual weight and balance measurement on detail parts, assemblies and components.
• Contribute in design reviews, weight maturity reviews and weight savings.
• Collaborate with many technical disciplines to understand and to challenge the component design in the quest for optimum weight.
