HVAC Technician

Hire Resolve's client, a leading provider of mechanical engineering services specializing in HVAC and refrigeration systems, is currently seeking a skilled HVAC Technician to join their team in Krugersdorp. The successful candidate will play a key role in the installation, servicing, and repair of HVAC & R systems while ensuring compliance with safety, health, environmental, and quality standards. Responsibilities Installation, Servicing, and Repair: Conduct installations, maintenance, and repairs of HVAC & R systems, including chilled water systems, cooling towers, pumps, split units, cold rooms, freezer rooms, VRF/VRV systems, packaged units, and more. Inspect electrical systems and test circuits for continuity. Resolve defects, malfunctions, and non-conformance issues promptly. Reassemble equipment following repairs and ensure compliance with appliance standards. Quality Assurance and Compliance: Adhere to the OSH Act, ISO standards, and industry best practices. Maintain high-quality workmanship and complete tasks within the agreed timeframe and budget. Clean plant rooms, filters, and maintain an organized workspace. Health and Safety: Comply with all safety, health, environmental, and quality (SHEQ) requirements. Participate in safety training and maintain readiness for emergencies. Requirements Education and Qualifications: Grade 12 with a Trade Test in Mechanical or Electrical fields. OTTC, ACRA, or N-Stream qualification. Safe Handling Certificate (Mandatory). Experience: Minimum of 5 years experience in a similar role. Proven expertise in HVAC systems such as VRF/VRV, air handling units, and computer room cooling systems. Technical Skills: Strong understanding of electrical and control circuits. Proficiency in MS Office tools. Knowledge of safe refrigerant handling techniques. Additional Requirements: Valid drivers license and access to reliable transport. Own hand tools and a smartphone. Police clearance and medical fitness certificate. Willingness to travel.
