Senior SQL DBA

Key Responsibilities: Administer and maintain SQL Server databases for high availability, performance, and security. Troubleshoot and resolve performance bottlenecks, query issues, and database corruption. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to optimize database performance and implement best practices. Manage database backups, recovery strategies, and disaster recovery planning. Oversee database security, access controls, and compliance with internal policies. Automate regular maintenance tasks and ensure efficient management of database resources. Perform database upgrades, migrations, and patching with minimal downtime. Provide mentorship to junior DBAs and guide them in their professional development. Requirements: Minimum 5 years of experience as a Senior SQL Server Database Administrator. Expertise in SQL Server 2012 and above, including advanced database tuning, replication, high availability, and performance optimization. Proven experience in disaster recovery and backup strategies for large-scale SQL environments. Strong knowledge of T-SQL, SSIS, SSRS, and SSAS. Familiarity with cloud-based solutions (AWS, Azure) and hybrid environments is highly beneficial. Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities. Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with teams across the organization. Experience with scripting and automation (PowerShell, SQL Agent) is an advantage.
