Senior Technical Consultant - Network and Systems

iOCO Infrastructure Services invites you to explore possibilities. We are seeking a dynamic and results-driven Senior Technical Consultant with network and systems expertise in information technology networks and network security to join our team and advanced technical knowledge of FortiGate firewalls and Fortinet security appliances and switching, routing, and related technologies (e.g. CISCO and Aruba) and Wireless technologies experience. What you’ll do: Excellent customer satisfaction, interaction and engagement Ability to engage at management and executive level Understanding of TCP/IP and networking protocols OSPF, QoS and Multicast configuration and troubleshooting and understanding BGP Layer 2 networking, including STP, VLANs, port channel/Ether channel technology, etc. Layer 3 networking, including dynamic routing protocols (like the ones mentioned above) and HSRP/VRRP/GLBP/SVI, etc Experience with Fortinet SD-WAN Experience with various tools such as Protocol Analyzer, IPAM, RADIUS, etc. Network Packet capture and analysis (Wireshark) Development/Automation/Scripting knowledge (Python) Report and escalate issues to 3rd party vendors if necessary Proactively identify opportunities for work optimization, including opportunities for automation of work Strong knowledge of Incident and Problem management processes Troubleshooting and resolution of complex network issues including fault management Strong problem-solving skills and ability to adapt to new methods and processes Mentoring of colleagues and peers both in the networking arena and others Your Expertise: Minimum of 5 years of experience in Information Technology Networks and / or network security Advanced technical knowledge in switching, routing and related technologies Advanced technical knowledge of FortiGate firewalls and Fortinet security appliances Solid experience in the technology support functions and tools such as change / configuration management, testing, documentation, and implementation processes Advanced technical support and troubleshooting Maintenance of complex network and network security systems Advanced technical knowledge in managing internal and external DNS services Experience in SSL certificate management Evaluation and optimisation of network performance Automation of network functions and duties Qualifications Required: Fortinet NSE6 and NSE7 will be an advantage Aruba Certified Switching Professional (ACSP) CCNP Enterprise will be an advantage Microsoft Azure Administrator will be an advantage AWS Certified Solutions Architect: Associate will be an advantage  Personal Attributes: Team player with good work ethic and attendance record Self-driven: Get the job done Strong sense of responsibility in taking ownership of problems and seeing them through till completion. Other information applicable to the opportunity: Working in a team supporting a customer who operates 24x7x365. Must have own transport and be available on call. A/h travel to site in the event of a significant failure Hybrid. Onsite at client 3 days a week.
