Engineering Manager Encryption (x/f/m)

Working in the tech team at Doctolib involves building innovative products and features to improve the daily lives of care teams and patients. We work in feature teams in an agile environment, while collaborating with product, design, and business teams.

We are looking for an Engineering Manager to lead the Encryption team in our Platform domain. Your mission will be to manage the team in charge of developing the different encryption techniques used by all the Doctolib feature teams. You will join a skilled engineering team that delivers APIs and SDKs developed in different technologies to secure our users' high-privacy data.

The team’s technical environment is challenging as they have to deal with multiple frameworks and languages and maintain their infrastructure.

Your role as Engineering Manager:

You will be both a technical leader and a people manager, coaching and training your team members while building an amazing engineering organization at Doctolib. In this role, you will:

1. Be directly in charge of a team composed of 6 software engineers;
2. Manage and grow the performance and career of your team;
3. Ensure business objectives are met as a team, by driving performance of each team member;
4. Empower your team to build better products;
5. Set the roadmap for your team, and be the end-to-end owner of the team’s production, quality, and delivery;
6. Participate in code reviews and be hands-on if required;
7. Lead cross-functional initiatives to up-level our engineering team;
8. Partner with Talent & People teams to recruit, develop and retain talent.

Your skills:

You could be our next teammate if you:

1. Have 5+ years of people management experience with an engineering team;
2. Are eager to be hands-on with our stack (FE: TypeScript, BE: Ruby on Rails or Golang);
3. You understand the value of testing your code, individually or functionally, for each new feature or bugfix;
4. Have the ability to adapt to the most efficient technologies to solve issues;
5. Have proven experiences developing efficient, maintainable and secure products;
6. Are an excellent communicator (both oral and written);
7. Are capable of structuring processes;
8. Are comfortable speaking English in your day-to-day with the team.

Also, it would be fantastic if you:

1. Have already worked in a hyper-growth tech environment;
2. Have a great understanding of cloud infrastructures, security and/or cryptography topics;
3. Have knowledge of Java or C++;
4. Have knowledge of CI/CD tools.
