The Opportunity

Day-to-Day Responsibilities

• Develop automation and processes to enable business teams to deploy, manage and monitor their applications in the public and private cloud;
• Ability to understand the business requirements and propose efficient and feasible solutions ;
• Analyze existing infrastructure components for a potential migration to the public Cloud (IaaS) or to Infrastructure as Code (in the private cloud);
• Assist business teams in the “move to Cloud” journey.
• Manage, monitor and optimize database performance to achieve the business goals.
• Collaborate with DevOps SQUAD and private Cloud provider teams.
• Ensure compliance with payment industry data protection regulations.
• Troubleshoot database issues and provide solutions;
• Proactively identify potential issues in the database and act accordingly to assure stability and good optimal performance.
• Assist and actively participe in all phases of a project development life cycle, including requirements gathering and analysis, solution design and development, testing and implementation, post-production support (including performance tuning) and evolution.

Who Are We Looking For

• Production-proven experience in administering and maintaining PostgreSQL databases.
• Strong experience in integrating applications to the cloud (Infrastructure as a Service in Infrastructure as Code environment);
• Strong experience working with automatic provisioning and configuration management tools such as Ansible, Puppet, Terraform in a GitLab DevOps platform.
• Experience working with high availability, high performance, multi-data center systems;
• Master at least one scripting language ;
• Experience with Git version control system ;
• Strong on collaboration and communication including documentation ;
• Good knowledge of PostgreSQL DBMS
• Strong problem solving and analytical capabilities;
• High degree of initiative, accuracy, efficiency and attention to detail;
• Ability to maintain a positive attitude under stressful circumstances;
• Professional approach when dealing with internal and external customers, including clear and concise written and verbal communication skills;
• Fluent in English.
