Sourcing Coordinator

Our client is a leading fashion retailer in South Africa, offering an exciting opportunity for a passionate and experienced Sourcing Coordinator to join their team in Cape Town, WC. Key Responsibilities: Manage the fast and cost-effective purchase of finished goods. Negotiate prices and delivery dates with suppliers to meet company objectives. Build and maintain productive relationships with suppliers and manufacturers. Assess workmanship and suggest improvements to fabric and construction. Ensure critical path timelines are met through disciplined planning and execution. Maintain accurate and up-to-date system data using PLM systems. Demonstrate a traders instinct to ensure portfolio growth and profitability. Facilitate styling changes with suppliers while negotiating win-win outcomes. Requirements: Proven experience communicating directly with overseas suppliers. Strong administrative and written communication skills. Proficiency in computer systems, particularly PLM or similar platforms. Background in manufacturing or a related field is preferred. Experience managing a Sourcing Assistant. Willingness and ability to travel internationally for sourcing purposes. Team player with the ability to manage relationships effectively. Thrives in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.
