Senior Accountant

Manage the full accounting function, including capturing POs, raising invoices, preparing journals, and reconciliations Prepare monthly management accounts and present findings to senior management Ensure accurate preparation of annual financial statements and oversee annual audits Assist with implementing accounting systems and policies, driving procedural improvements Administer investment-related transactions, including additions, disposals, and related administration Oversee and review the work of a junior accountant, providing training and feedback as needed Monitor and manage day-to-day treasury and cash flow across multi-currency bank accounts Administer payments, maintain relationships with stakeholders, and oversee creditors and debtors Prepare budgets, forecasts, and cashflows, monitoring actual performance against projections Manage and oversee various group assets, ensuring key risks are identified and addressed Administer tax calculations and VAT submissions, liaising with external advisors where needed Ensure compliance with statutory and regulatory requirements, including KYC, AML, and FATCA Coordinate internal and external reporting, including board meeting packs and covenant tests Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders, both locally and internationally Skills & Experience: Minimum of 2 years of post-articles experience Strong commercial accounting experience is advantageous Excellent communication skills, with the ability to interact with local and international stakeholders Detail-oriented and deadline-driven with strong problem-solving skills Proficiency in managing multi-currency transactions and financial reporting Qualification: SAIPA or SAICA articles complete Relevant tertiary education Must have reliable transport to commute to the office Contact OLIVIA MELTZER on 021 418 1750 , quoting the Ref: CTF020120.
