Job Description

A well established group of companies seeking a group financial manager to contribute to the strategic direction and long-term financial viability of the organisation and its subsidiaries. Leading a team to deliver services, to ensure long term financial viability of the organisation and its subsidiaries. Keep the Group Financial director and Group CEO appraised of all financial developments, potential risks and changes. Lead on key financial projects as directed. Plan projects, explore potential problems or opportunities, ensuring that staff and resources are available to execute the project. Carry out any necessary research, analysing it and concluding on that information. In collaboration with the Group Financial director and Group CEO implement the finance strategy across subsidiaries and advise on financial implications of any proposed actions. Analysis of financial information received from subsidiaries Development and maintenance of financial models, controls and documentation relevant. Work with the Group Financial director and Group CEO on risk management techniques to ensure that financial controls are embedded within the organisation and its subsidiary companies. Bring a financial and commercial strength and expertise to the group by contributing to the strategic direction of the organisation that ensures long term financial viability and advising on financial implications of any proposed actions. Contribute to the improvement of the systems surrounding all aspects of Group Subsidiary budgets, forecasts and financial systems. Manage, mentor, coach and ensure the development of staff reporting to you, including volunteers. This includes involvement in delivering appropriate training, recruitment, induction, monitoring performance, managing absence and conducting performance reviews. Provide reports and briefings as required, including reports to the Senior Management Team, and operational and strategic meetings. Ensuring financial information received from subsidiaries is accurate and timely by monitoring key account reconciliations. Get involved in mergers, due diligence and structural changes to the organisation and its subsidiaries Represent the group and its subsidiaries externally in relation to finance issues. Build and maintain strong relationships with the finance team, key stakeholders and external agencies. Undertake continuing professional development including performance appraisals and attending training as/when required. Work in accordance with all relevant legislation, policies & procedures and guidelines both internal and external. Keep abreast of policy and professional development within your area of professional expertise. To promote, adhere to and live our workplace values of being honest, committed and inventive. Proven knowledge of financial analysis, financial systems and strategy Excellent verbal and written communication and presentation skills In-depth knowledge of financial reporting standards, tax regulations and industry legislation Analytical skills Attention to detail Interpersonal skills Negotiation skills Honesty and integrity Committed Inventive 5-10 years experience in a similar role
