Job Description

We are looking for an Application Engineer in Digital IC Synthesis and Implementation in Paris . Job Description, Role and Key Responsibilities This is an excellent opportunity to work on challenging and complex SoC projects at advanced technology nodes with a major company in the semiconductor domain. The Application Engineer will: Identify and track technical issues in Customers’ digital IC design environment. Prioritize these issues taking account of both Customer's & Cadence's needs. Drive their resolution in collaboration with Cadence RnD. Develop/maintain technical and soft skills to be seen as a trusted EDA tool specialist with a deep knowledge in Cadence's digital IC tools. Behave as a "Customer virtual team member.” Assist the Customer with digital IC design flow development, e.g. improve existing design methodologies, develop new methodologies that leverage Cadence tools & services. Support technical evaluations (including Beta evaluations with Cadence R&D and the customer) of new digital EDA tools, flows and methodologies. Provide direct contribution to key design projects, e.g. be responsible for driving Cadence IC tools for key tasks on these projects. Work with the Cadence Sales team to identify additional sales opportunities. Requirement, Experience, Education The Application Engineer will have: A working knowledge of UNIX/Linux, C-shell, TCL/TK programming and scripting Good understanding of digital IC Synthesis, implementation and Signoff flow Some knowledge on our SW tools: Genus, Modus, Conformal, Innovus, Tempus Some knowledge on LLM (Large Language Model) to drive our Cadence AI intelligent System Design. Experience in one and preferably more of the following disciplines: Digital Circuit Design (DFT, synthesis, Place and Route) Equivalent checking and Static Timing Analysis ; Low Power techniques CAD support for Digital IC Design and related flows Good communication skills; Excellent team spirit; Fluent in French and in English Degree in Electrical/Electronic Engineering, Microelectronics, or a related discipline. 5 to 7 years of experience in ASIC design/EDA industry
