Serverless Database Senior Devops Engineer

About the job The Serverless Database team is building a pay-per-use SQL Database product integrated into Scaleway’s ecosystem. Reporting to the Engineering Manager, you will be in charge of leading your teammates to achieve a high-quality, high-impact product. You will be responsible for mentoring your teammates to develop, operate, and optimize the product. You will also play a key part in designing the technical stack and managing the product backlog. Minimum qualifications Excellent experience in backend development Ability to identify the right design/coding pattern for a given problem Good soft skills and mindset Quick learner Very good command of English (French is a big plus) Preferred qualifications Experience with typical DevOps tooling: Git, CI/CD, containers, etc. Knowledge of open-source relational databases: PostgreSQL, MySQL, etc. Fluent with team tools: GitHub/GitLab, Jira, Slack, etc. Excellent knowledge of microservices and cloud patterns (K8s is a plus) Familiarity with quality enhancers: unit/end-to-end testing and documentation Good sysadmin and network knowledge Responsibilities Contribute to the product architecture and code base Define the right quality standards for each step of a product’s life cycle Mentor your teammates to help them improve their skills Partner with the Engineering Manager to translate product needs into a backlog Technical Stack Golang PostgreSQL Kubernetes Redis Ansible gRPC Location Based in our offices in Paris or Lille (France) Recruitment Process Screening call - 30 mins with the recruiter Manager Interview - 45 mins Technical Interviews Head of Engineering Interview HR Interview - 45 mins J-18808-Ljbffr
