No Offer Description Within ICN, the ChemSenSim group ( ) develops interdisciplinary research projects on the molecular basis of chemical senses (smell and taste) which are inherently complex neural processes. We are developing numerical models based on molecular modeling, machine learning, and structural bioinformatics to decipher the combinatorial code of chemosensory perception. In this context, we are recruiting a molecular modeling and numerical simulations engineer who will have the primary missions to: Automate the virtual screening protocols developed by the team Optimize molecular and numerical simulation approaches (molecular dynamics, docking, machine learning, …) in a high-performance computing context Manage and update current and future databases developed by the team Develop database analysis tools with online result visualization Interact with team members to implement intensive calculations The engineer will also be responsible for: Managing and maintaining the team's workstations and storage system Following and providing training to maintain advanced HPC knowledge within the team Where to apply E-mail: Requirements Research Field: Engineering » Simulation engineering Education Level: Master Degree or equivalent Research Field: Chemistry » Computational chemistry Education Level: Master Degree or equivalent Skills/Qualifications Candidate profile: Molecular Modeling and Numerical Simulations Engineer, with essential skills in: Python programming language Scientific computing libraries, and ideally parallelization and numerical analysis libraries Machine learning libraries The engineer should also have: An interest in research Communication skills and adaptability Knowledge of project management A good command of English Not exhaustive, experience and/or in-depth knowledge in the following areas would be a plus: Version control software (git) File transfer systems (sftp, scp, rsync, ) Secure storage systems (RAID) Specific Requirements Mobility may be required to access calculation and storage servers on the different campuses of the Université Côte d'Azur (mainly Valrose and Sophia-Antipolis). Minimum a Master's degree in modeling, scientific computing, or data science, with proof of initial professional experience. Preferably a PhD in a field closely related to the research projects of the team. Languages: ENGLISH Level Good Additional Information Salary of approximately €2,500-3,300 per month before taxes, depending on your experience.
