Backend Lead Developer (Java and/or python)

As a member of our R&D team, you will be responsible to assist us in the challenging development of our web software solutions Your main tasks will be to: Participate in the development of our software solutions (application servers, web services, calculators, etc.) Lead the development teams, train and support less experienced members of the teams. Take a proactive role in the design of new major functionalities. Work in close relationship with Product Managers and commercial teams to define priorities, determine their value and plan their realization in an optimal way. Implement tools and best practices to enhance the work of your team by promoting goodwill, cooperation, and dynamism. You have at least 5 years of experience in a similar position and wish to apply your expertise to the development of high-impact software. You are the ideal candidate if you: Are proficient in backend programming (Java/Spring and/or Python, REST API, message queues, SQL). Have abilities to develop scalable software solutions with strong availability, security, and efficiency constraints. Master object-oriented programming and principles on design and software architectures. Have good knowledge of data structures and algorithms. Master the main modern development tools (git in particular). You are fluent in English – our development teams are international. Working conditions: Permanent contract, managerial status with a 4-month probationary period. Up to 2 days of remote work per week possible. Flexible working hours. Offices located in the city center of each city where we are located. Recruitment process: An initial technical interview via video conference with two recruiters (45 minutes x 2). A second interview via video conference with two other recruiters, as well as a brief 15-minute discussion with the CEO of Artelys (45 minutes x 2 15 minutes).
