Director of Regulatory Affairs Position Overview: Your primary role as Director of Regulatory Affairs is to design, develop, and drive Geopost's regulatory policy agenda. This includes managing principles, organization, and policies related to all key regulatory subjects. Primary Missions Global Lobbying Activities Analyze regulatory issues and their potential impact on Geopost's activities. Lead strategic direction and advise Geopost management and Business Units on these issues. Conduct risk analyses and prioritize responses to different regulations. Define Geopost’s position, coordinating with Business Units and central teams as necessary. Implement selected influencing actions and advocate for Geopost’s interests with regulatory bodies. Represent Geopost in relevant professional organizations, conferences, and public forums. Train C-level managers in lobbying and influence strategies. Support the CEO in his lobbying activities. Support for Business Development Establish a network of regulatory correspondents within Business Units. Organize and manage monitoring tools for various regions (Middle East, Russia, Asia, Africa, North America, Europe). Oversee the selection and management of external providers and internal resources. Collaborate with the Legal and Compliance Department to monitor regulatory licenses. National Lobbying Activities Coordinate and organize lobbying efforts with local authorities (ministries, NGOs, associations, regulators) in major operating countries, in conjunction with Business Unit teams. Support for Vertical Market Development Drive regulatory lobbying efforts for vertical markets like food and healthcare at European and international levels (e.g., FAO, Codex Alimentarius, EU Commission). The position currently includes the management of 2 FTEs (VIE) and is based in Brussels. The role reports hierarchically to the Senior Director. Language Requirements The working language at Geopost DPDgroup is English, but communication between team members in Paris and Brussels is often conducted in French. Fluency in an additional language is an asset. Geographic Scope and Travel The team is based in Paris, but the position is open to candidates based in major European capitals, with monthly meetings at Group Headquarters. The scope is global, and the role involves significant travel, representing up to 50% of the function, both within and outside Europe. Excellent communication skills to simplify and articulate regulatory issues. Experience in public affairs and competence in working with regulatory entities.
