Job Description

Core Purpose: Responsible for quality of moulded plastic components, process quality, as well as customer/supplier concerns and other duties as assigned by the Quality Manager. Duties & Responsibilities: Be responsible for all products (OEM and Tier 1 suppliers), including customer requirements and specifications, APQP process and customer complaints. Ensuring that customer complaints, and non-conformances are addressed and prevented from re-occurring (close the loop effectively). Initiate communication to management team immediately on issues and initiate containment activities. Liaise with local and overseas suppliers and OEMs on quality matters, root cause investigations and corrective/preventative action plans and update of the relevant documentation. Represent the company in customer quality discussions (internally and externally), and advise on requirement/specifications, able to present on quality issues to the customers. Ensure all customer-specific requirements are included effectively and efficiently into internal systems, procedures and specifications. Prepare reports on quality related matters. Effectively participate in all 1st, 2nd and 3rd party audits. Provide training to all employees on customer and quality standard requirements. Hands-on knowledge of KPM Halle (Problem solving) and be on system (for PPAP submissions). Responsible for accuracy in Scrap Reporting and facilitation of Reduction Daily Meetings. Facilitation of Quality and Scrap Improvement Meetings and Co-Ordination of required Improvements (close the loop effectively). Responsible for conducting all Product and Process Audits, Internal and Quality System Audits, together with Co-Ordination and Drive of required Improvements (close loop effectively) Co-Ordination of Root Cause Analysis using Automotive Core Tools. Responsible for the mentoring and training of Quality Technicians and Inspectors. Responsible for the Production Release Processes of Products, when considering Customer Specific and Internal Requirements. Responsible for conducting SPC on specific criteria, as per requirements. Conducting Capability Studies, together with the interpretation of data. Support Projects Team with start-up of new processes & product introductions. Responsible for Raw Material Inspection and Release System. Monitor quality performance of suppliers and rate suppliers monthly (Quality and Delivery input from Logistics). Report monthly on supplier performance to the Quality Manage Requirements: Diploma/ B Tech in Engineering Diploma / Certificate in Quality (TQM / City & Guilds) Three to Five years relevant experience Working knowledge of the Injection Moulding process Automotive Core Tools Training VDA 6.3 Auditor Qualification
