Field Service Technician

Field Service Technician Description: We are seeking a dedicated and hands-on Field Service Technician to join our team. This position involves supporting the installation, maintenance, and repair of equipment for customers both locally and across Africa. The ideal candidate is a motivated individual eager to learn and grow, with a willingness to travel and work in demanding environments. Responsibilities: Shadow senior technicians to learn company procedures and technical processes. Provide problem-solving, technical advice, and support to local and international customers. Perform installation, commissioning, decommissioning, training, certification, and handover of equipment. Conduct minor on-site preventative maintenance inspections and repairs. Execute major off-site repairs and refurbishments of equipment. Act as the companys appointed representative onsite, ensuring compliance with MHSA 2.9.2 and 2.6.1 regulations. Safely work at heights (up to 6m) following required gravity training. Travel frequently by road and air, with extended stays away from home when necessary. Maintain a professional and compliant approach in adherence to company and mine safety policies. Requirements: Valid passport, South African ID, and drivers license (Code 08 minimum). Physically and mentally fit with sober habits. Ability to work in physically and mentally demanding conditions. Willingness to travel and spend time away from home. Basic knowledge of hydraulics and electrics (advantageous but not essential, as training will be provided). Comfort working at heights (training and certification provided).
