Wiring Harness and Process Engineer

· Manage the Engineering team · Read and Create Schematics · Reverse engineering a Harness to create a Full Bill of Material · Create a Full Bill of Material from a Harnes layout drawing and Schematics · Create schematics layout from sample or Harness layout drawings · Create drawings on Harness design software, Company uses Arcadia · Assist Sales with RFQs · Assist with any CAD drawings required · Maintain and/or Create Engineering Procedures · Maintain and/or Create Training Manuals on the Harness Manufacturing Process as well as any tools and equipment used · Maintain and adjure to maintenance schedule for Harness manufacturing equipment · Audit Bill of materials, cutting sheets, splicing sheets before it goes out to production, and ensure they are done inline with the Production schedule. · Look after any phones, internet, printer or Cell phone contracts/repairs. · Manage the Monthly Building maintenance and arrange for any repairs · Manage any ongoing or new internal projects that need to be completed · Create Yearly, month Budgets for the Engineering department · Conduct KPIs for the Engineering Department · Need to visit clients from Time to time, especially on the Kick-off of a new project. · Firm Understanding of Harnesses and Harness Components. · The ability to read and create schematics. · The Ability to identify electrical components. · The ability to make recommendation on alternative components where needed. · The ability to reverse engineer harnesses. · The ability to create wire lists/Cutting sheets for manufacturing. · The ability to create harness layouts based on harness samples. · A good understanding on the equipment and tools needed to manufacture a Harness · The ability to give training on harness manufacturing tools and equipment · The ability to give training on harness the Harness manufacturing processes · Ability to keep track and Maintain an Assist registry · Have a Firm understanding of ISO:9001 Software · Microsoft office: Teams, Excel, Word, Powerpoint · Harness design Software: Arcadia · Cad Software: Solid works · SAP
