Senior Electrical Designer

Hire Resolve is seeking an experience Senior Electrical Designer to join our client's team in Port Elizabeth. Requirements : Education : N. Dip or higher in Electrical Engineering or Mechatronics Degree License : Code 8 Driver's License Languages : English (speak, read, and write) Afrikaans (speak, read, and write) Experience : At least 3 years in Electrical Design Computer literacy Experience with electrical panel building and wiring Fault finding and troubleshooting Experience with fluid control systems (e.g., valves, actuators) Proficient in ePlan design (including panel layouts and fluid control) Knowledge of electrical control hardware (PLC, sensors, actuators, power supplies, etc.) Site experience or project/team leadership Competent in creating machine specifications and designs Job Objectives : Perform all duties of an Electrical Designer with excellence Collaborate with the design team to meet project timelines and customer specifications Improve design productivity and accuracy Support and develop the design team to achieve high standards Stay up to date with technology and industry trends Help improve the department's productivity and quality Key Responsibilities : Lead a design team to meet project technical and timeline requirements Ensure designs are accurate and meet project deadlines Encourage creative thinking and cost-saving ideas Communicate with customers about design concepts and changes Mentor and guide designers to improve their skills Ensure successful project outcomes through proactive customer involvement Bring your unique perspective to each project Skills and Knowledge : Strong technical knowledge of electrical engineering principles Excellent problem-solving skills Knowledge of electrical control system safety and risk assessments Ability to mentor and improve team efficiency Able to develop new methods and solutions Strategic thinker with foresight to prevent problems Strong interpersonal and leadership skills Interpersonal Skills : Ability to work well under pressure Strong leadership and people management skills Good conflict resolution and motivational abilities Foster an environment where designers feel inspired and supported Be a role model and leader who others are eager to work with Equal Opportunity : Preference will be given to employees from designated groups according to the Employment Equity Act (No. 55 of 1998).
