IT Technician

Our client in George is seeking a skilled IT Technician to join their dynamic team. The ideal candidate will troubleshoot hardware and software issues, maintain network systems, and ensure smooth and secure daily operations. Key Responsibilities Provide first-line support to users, resolving technical issues related to hardware, software, and network systems. Install, configure, and maintain computer hardware, software, and networking equipment. Diagnose and resolve technical problems in a timely and effective manner. Monitor and maintain local area networks (LAN), wide area networks (WAN), and ensure connectivity for end-users. Implement and maintain data security protocols, including antivirus and firewall updates. Maintain records of IT assets, update technical documentation, and log resolved issues. Provide guidance and training to end-users on system functionality, security, and best practices. Required Skills and Qualifications Diploma or Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field. Minimum of 2 years of experience in IT support or a similar role. A Certification, Network, or other IT certifications (preferred).
