Job Description

Our client is seeking a Maintenance Technician to join their team. Responsibilities: Routine Maintenance: Conduct regular inspections of equipment and systems to ensure proper functioning. Perform preventive maintenance to reduce the likelihood of equipment failures. Repairs: Diagnose mechanical and electrical issues and repair malfunctioning systems. Replace or repair defective components on machinery, appliances, or building structures. Equipment Management: Monitor and maintain tools, machinery, and systems to ensure they operate at peak performance. Keep maintenance logs and documentation for all equipment. Troubleshooting: Identify root causes of technical issues in mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems. Propose effective solutions to minimize downtime. Compliance and Safety: Adhere to safety protocols and ensure all maintenance activities comply with health and safety regulations. Conduct risk assessments to mitigate potential hazards in the workplace. Installation: Assist in the installation of new equipment or systems. Ensure proper setup and testing after installation. Energy Efficiency: Identify opportunities to improve energy efficiency and reduce operational costs. Implement energy-saving measures as directed. Collaboration: Work closely with other departments to ensure timely and effective maintenance support. Provide technical guidance to team members when needed. Emergency Response: Be available for on-call duties to address urgent maintenance issues. Quickly address emergency breakdowns to minimize impact on operations. Inventory Management: Monitor and replenish spare parts, tools, and supplies to prevent shortages. Maintain an organized inventory system for maintenance-related materials. Skills: Computer Literate- MS Word, MS Excel, MS Outlook. Qualifications: Must have minimum of 5 years experience in Electrical and Mechanical. Knowledge of FMCG industry. HT Electrical systems. Hydraulic systems. Pneumatic systems. Computerised Maintenance. Welding Engineering. Compliance with Environmental Health and Safety requirements. Compliance with Occupational Health and Safety Act (OHSA). Compliance with Ethics Policy. Demonstrate safety awareness. Valid drivers license.
