Job Description
Key Performance Areas: Develop measurement programs for wheels (new and existing). Provide feedback on dimensional deviations or defects to relevant departments. Prepare APQP/PPAP/ISIR documentation as per customer requirements. Participate in problem-solving activities, FMEA/Control Plan meetings (APQP-related). Perform routine testing, product audits, and lead gauge design and approval processes. Maintain calibration status of instruments, manage external calibrations, and document verification processes. Conduct Measurement Systems Analysis (MSA) and R&R studies. Lead investigations into non-conforming wheels and conduct capability studies. Maintain and organize documentation, including drawings, measurement reports, and registers. Qualifications: Tertiary qualification (e.g., ND Mech Eng or BTech Quality). Matric with Maths and Science. Certifications in CMM Measuring/3D Scanning and quality systems (e.g., VDA6.3, IATF16949, Core Tools). Work Experience: At least 5 years in a factory environment. Proficiency in PC-DMIS CMM Software and thorough knowledge of plant processes. Familiarity with SPC, MSA, APQP, and 8D methodologies. Other Requirements: Expertise in CMM measuring equipment, sampling processes, and technical drawing interpretation. Strong under-pressure performance, teamwork, and time management skills. Integrity, honesty, and excellent communication skills. Proficiency in computer software (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, AutoCAD, MiniTab, 3D Scanning). Valid driver's license (own transport preferred).
