THE PROFILE 10 years in Supply Chain, Transportation & Purchasing in an international environment with similar portfolio & spend scale (100M€). Expertise on Road Transportation and possibly on Bulk and Containers Thorough knowledge of the transportation categories (Road, Shipping, Rail) Master degree in Supply Chain / Purchasing Leadership Proven experience in planning and leading complex negotiations Ability to operate and execute effectively in a fast-paced environment with multiple priorities and challenging deadlines Excellent written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills THE PACKAGE Annual Gross Salary: 80-95K€ 20% bonus Home Office: 2-3 days per week Caring environment, great atmosphere THE SCOPE Global transportation spend (100M€ ) including shipping & container freight: 60M€ on Road Transportation (including Barging in Europe) 15M€ on Containers 10M€ on Bulk Shipping 7M€ on Rail Europe accounts for 60% of global transport and uses primarily road transport Active leadership in Europe and strong coordinatio n with Regional Purchasing outside of Europe Reporting to the Global VP THE RESPONSIBILITIES: Transportation panel rationalisation & Coordination with Supply Chain Develop regional purchasing vision & strategy, with multi-year roadmap to establish function within key markets (Europe, India, APAC & US) Define the overall Transportation purchasing strategy including performance assessment, process & tools definition Cultivate & maintain relationships with internal clients/business partners Create link with Operations & Supply Chain to ensure scope is widely covered and make sure to negotiate globally & drive cost reduction Be the company’s representative with shipping lines, shipowners etc… manage high level relations with those companies Lead cross-functional teams in highly complex & impactful tenders. The outcome of negotiations are highly visible and critical to business outcome.
