Job Description
WHO ARE WE? Our Company : We are a French SME, founded in 1995, whose business is centered around stable isotopes and consumables used in nuclear magnetic resonance (NMR), positron emission tomography (PET), magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) and mass spectrometry (MS). These technologies cover a wide range of applications from medicine, health, petrochemistry, food and beverage, to materials and organic chemistry. Thanks to constant innovation over the past few years associated with massive investments in R&D, we have been able to competitively manufacture at small/medium scale a wide range of catalog or custom-made chemical grade labeled compounds with stable isotopes. We have around 20 employees at our site at Les Ulis and have small teams in our offices in New York and in Bangkok you will interact with as we scale up. Our Values : Our success and leadership in the industry come from combining scientific innovation (chemistry, biotech, industrial processes) with outstanding customer service . We create a work environment that values freedom, responsibility, and constant learning to encourage creativity and keep our team highly engaged . The Context: As a Senior Chemical Process Engineer, you will be part of the Industrialization team. We have three scientific teams that work in close collaboration: R&D, Industrialization, and Production. As our industrial tool is increasing, many projects will be industrialized in the next year. You will join the team at the perfect timing and play a key role in bridging R&D and production. YOUR MISSIONS? Optimize existing process: liquid or gas phase synthetic routes for molecules containing stable isotopes (2H, 13C, 15N, 17O, 29Si) in terms of yield, synthesis time, and identification of critical parameters. Unit Operations: Proficiency in continuous flow reactors, distillation, heat/mass transfer, and separation techniques. Equipment Design: Skilled in equipment sizing, P&ID creation, and plant layout for continuous operations. New process development: contribute to our innovative manufacturing processes in batch, fed-batch, or continuous flow (isotopic exchange, hydrogenation, etc.). Documentation: Creation of SOPs, technical reports, and validation protocols. Safety: Implement risk assessment practices. Simulation: Proficiency in process simulation tools (Aspen Plus, HYSYS) is a plus. WHO ARE YOU? Your Profile: Master's degree or PhD in Chemical Engineering, Process Engineering or a related field. Minimum 5 years proven experience in designing and implementing automated systems for chemical processes. Your Personality: Go-getter: You are results-oriented and take ownership of your tasks. Teamwork: You believe in the saying: "Alone we go faster, together we go further”. Creative and critical thinking: You approach challenges with curiosity, constantly seeking innovative solutions. Our Offer: Join exciting, high-level projects in a cutting-edge modern facility at the rapidly growing Paris-Saclay high-tech hub. Work in an innovative international environment that challenges your skills. We value excellence; therefore, we are offering a competitive salary and benefits (meal vouchers, top-tier health insurance, nearby sports facilities, …)
