Job Description
Job Title: IT Support Technician Location: Avignon, France Candidate Profile: We are seeking a skilled Technician with expertise in managing and troubleshooting client computers (Windows 10/11 and macOS), a foundational understanding of networking, and experience in application environments (primarily Office 365 and related applications). The ideal candidate will have no more than 5 years of experience in IT support, implementation, and maintenance. Requirements: French nationality. Fluency in French (native) and English (B2 minimum). 2 to 3 years of professional experience in IT support. Job Purpose: The IT Support Technician will provide user support (Help Desk), handle installation and configuration of Windows and macOS environments, maintain hardware systems to ensure they are up to date and functional, and contribute to digital business continuity. Additional responsibilities include the installation and management of company software and collaboration with the systems administration team to maintain and improve the company's IT infrastructure. Key Responsibilities: User Support and Help Desk: Manage IT ticketing systems (currently FreshService; transitioning to ServiceNow). Prioritize and handle multiple open cases simultaneously. Onboard new users and provide VIP support. Support global digital meetings and manage meeting room video conferencing systems. Establish strong professional relationships with team members and other stakeholders. Device Provisioning and Administration: Provision and administer laptops, mobile devices, user accounts, mailboxes, and Microsoft 365 tools. Install and configure software and hardware systems. Manage inventory levels for IT assets. Oversee printer and print service management. Vendor and Procurement Management: Liaise with vendors to procure assets such as laptops, mobile devices, and SIM cards. Administer purchase requisitions and facilitate the PO process. Prepare hardware for production by configuring necessary connections to existing environments (servers, storage, switches). System Maintenance and Troubleshooting: Manage and maintain server rooms and provide basic networking support. Assist the IT team in diagnosing and resolving hardware, software, and network issues in collaboration with the IT infrastructure department. Monitor and manage alert systems to ensure smooth IT operations. Additional Responsibilities: Contribute to testing and evaluating new technologies as required. Stay up to date with evolving software and operating systems. Perform other tasks as requested by supervisors or managers. Occasional national and international travel may be required to address user issues across different sites. Key Performance Indicators (KPIs): Ensure service availability without faults. Manage incidents with rationality and expertise. Provide quick, effective problem resolution. Demonstrate strong project management and prioritization skills. Proactively learn and implement new solutions. Ideal Candidate Background: Education: Technical degree in computer science or a related field is a plus. Languages: Fluency in French (native). Proficiency in English (B2 minimum). Experience: 1 to 3 years of experience managing and supporting a company’s digital environment. Familiarity with programming languages and IoT environments (even without professional experience) is a plus. MS certifications in client environments are advantageous. Experience with macOS management is a plus.
