Job Description
The Group currently has a vacancy for a fast paced and detail orientated Junior Procurement Buyer to join the team. This position is situated at the Gauteng Head Office in Rustivia, Germiston, however, the successful candidate may be required to occasionally travel to other branches for business purposes. The successful candidate will report to the Group Procurement Manager. He/she will also have to: POSITION REQUIREMENTS • Obtain quote/s for adhoc requirements to support departmental needs • Load orders in Fraxion • Maintaining relationships with existing suppliers and sourcing new suppliers • Conduct benchmarking exercises • Assist with category management within the procurement portfolio • Assist the Senior Procurement Officer with ensuring that strict procurement processes and procedures are followed within the company’s procurement policies and regulations • Liaise with other departments within the organization to establish their material requirements • Working hand in hand with the Projects, Truck Workshop & Engineering departments to improve procurement planning • Working closely with Stores personnel to ensure on-time ordering for stock orders • Assist in managing the daily MRP for stock orders • Assist expediting of outstanding and open orders • Assistance in evaluating minimum, maximum and re-order levels, capturing and keeping data integrity updated within the procurement and stock modules • Assist with cycle counts as well as year-end counts • Procurement of Diesel, Gases and all non-stock items (Analysis and calculation exercises) • Compile and issue relevant daily reports internally • Assist Senior Procurement Officer with COD suppliers • Regular review of open orders • Ensure correct documents received for supplier onboarding QUALIFYING EXPERIENCE • Grade 12 • Relevant Certificate/Diploma in Procurement and Stores Management will be an advantage • Minimum of 3 years’ experience in Procurement/Inventory/Stores environment • MS Office knowledge • Inventory management experience • SAGE Accpac experience would be advantageous • Fluent in English QUALIFYING ATTRIBUTES • Accuracy and attention to detail • Excellent communication skills • Solution driven and risk preventative • Able to multi task and work under pressure in a fast-paced working environment • Have own reliable transport and valid driver’s license • Able to work well in team environment • Exceptional administration skills
