Job Title: Business Development Manager Remote (UK) ITSM Industry Location: Remote (UK-Based) Salary: £30,000 Basic Salary (DOE) Uncapped Commission Job Type: Permanent Job Overview: We are seeking a highly motivated and results-driven Business Development Manager to join our expanding sales team. This remote role (UK-based) will focus on developing new business opportunities and nurturing existing client relationships in the IT Service Management (ITSM) and Managed Services sectors. As a key part of our sales team, you will be responsible for generating sales leads , building strong client relationships, and identifying opportunities for business growth. In this remote business development role , youll serve as the main point of contact for clients, assisting them in achieving their business goals through our cutting-edge enterprise software solutions . You will utilise your exceptional sales skills to identify gaps, eliminate competitor threats, and drive growth opportunities across the ITSM market . Key Responsibilities: Develop sales strategies and drive new business opportunities in the ITSM and Managed Services sectors. Conduct prospecting activities including cold calling , networking, and attending industry events. Generate and qualify leads by identifying prospects and converting them into clients. Accurately forecast monthly and quarterly sales and meet sales quotas consistently. Build and maintain a detailed sales pipeline , track client interactions, and ensure regular client follow-ups . Deliver engaging sales presentations , product demos, and proposals to prospective clients. Collaborate with clients to understand their business needs and recommend tailored software solutions. Up-sell and cross-sell products/services to existing clients , ensuring they are leveraging all relevant solutions. Support clients through the sales lifecycle , ensuring a smooth transition from sales to Professional Services . Maintain a database of prospects , clients , partners , and vendors using CRM software. Work with internal teams to provide accurate reporting, sales forecasts , and industry analysis. Manage and close sales opportunities with decision-makers across various industries. Conduct product demonstrations and client training sessions to ensure satisfaction and solution adoption. Required Skills and Experience: Proven experience in B2B sales , particularly in the IT Service Management (ITSM) , Managed Services , or Enterprise Software industries. Strong understanding of sales processes , sales funnels , and customer relationship management (CRM) platforms. Ability to develop and execute effective sales strategies and consistently meet sales targets. Excellent communication , presentation , and negotiation skills . Strong track record of building client relationships and successfully closing sales . Proficient in prospecting and lead generation , with a focus on targeting key decision-makers . Strong problem-solving skills , with the ability to identify opportunities for growth and offer tailored solutions. Ability to travel up to 50% , with site visits required 2-3 days per week. A self-starter with an entrepreneurial mindset and a results-driven approach to business development. Education and Experience: Minimum of 3 years of sales experience in the enterprise software or ITSM space. Experience with complex sales cycles and large enterprise accounts is highly desirable.
