Position Title: Co-fondateur / CTO in residence Place: France & Europe Type of Contract: Unpaid position during the initial phase. The founders will benefit from 70% of the startup's shares, with 30% allocated to CyGO Entrepreneurs. What is our identity and what do we stand for? CyGO Entrepreneurs represents the inaugural startup studio in Europe dedicated to cybersecurity. It endeavors to address the mounting challenges of digital crime in a global landscape characterized by rapid technological advancement and geopolitical tensions. The studio's objective is to foster a cyber-resilient Europe by fortifying the European ecosystem. The studio is led by Laurent Hausermann, a seasoned cybersecurity entrepreneur, and Aurélie Clerc, who is recognized for her leadership in cybersecurity. They are surrounded by entrepreneurs experienced in software and cybersecurity, who offer the founders of their startups unique know-how, an extensive network, and a proven financing strategy. What is the function of this role and what is expected from this role? In your capacity as CTO and co-founder of a CyGO Entrepreneurs startup, you will engage in close collaboration with the CEO and our team of experts in product development, technology, and marketing/growth, with the objective of developing innovative cybersecurity solutions. You will play a pivotal role in transforming technological vision into tangible reality, while addressing critical cybersecurity challenges in the European market. You are a product builder who guides teams through your own actions and example. Your Missions and Responsibilities Shaping the Technology Develop and drive the tech strategy to meet business and cybersecurity needs. Build innovative cybersecurity solutions from the ground up. Launch the first Minimum Awesome Application with the Studio's support. Align the tech roadmap with the CEO’s vision. Prioritize security at every step. Leading the Team Assemble and guide a top-tier tech team. Set and enforce engineering and security best practices. Inspire innovation and excellence within the team. Recruit, coach, and develop talented engineers. Driving Operational Success Ensure strong security practices in daily operations. Build valuable technical partnerships. Oversee clear documentation and knowledge-sharing. Make decisions that ensure scalability and long-term efficiency. Who we'd love to work with: Technical Expertise Strong background in software development and architecture Experience with modern development technologies and cloud platforms Knowledge of security frameworks and compliance requirements Leadership and Entrepreneurial Skills Proven experience in technical leadership roles Strong entrepreneurial mindset and ability to work in uncertainty Excellence in problem-solving and strategic thinking Ability to translate complex technical concepts for non-technical stakeholders Required Experience and Qualities Minimum 5 years of experience in technical roles, preferably in cybersecurity or enterprise software Previous experience in a startup environment or leading technical teams Strong communication skills in English (French is a plus) Track record of delivering complex technical projects Commitment to be present regularly in our Lyon or Paris premises At CyGO Entrepreneurs, we are committed to providing you with a clear and respectful process, focused on meaningful exchanges and mutual discovery.
