PURPOSE & SCOPE OF THE ROLE The HR Manager France & Northern Europe will be responsible for the effective management and delivery of the HR agenda of our team in: France, our newly created owned Route to Market, with approximately 30 FTEs and Northern Europe, which is a group of countries with direct & indirect operations through strategic local distributor partnerships. Northern Europe is a group of approximately 15 FTEs based across: Austria, Netherlands and Sweden The HR Manager will own the end-to-end employee life cycle of the scope and will ensure effective and efficient delivery of HR service to the business, including delivery of talent, performance, engagement and resourcing strategies. The role reports into the Sr HR Manager Germany, France & Northern Europe and will strongly partner with our HR COEs, such as Total Rewards, Talent Acquisition, People Solutions, Global Talent Process and L&D. CORE RESPONSIBILITIES People Partner: Coach and provide HR support to leaders, especially France GM and Leadership Team, and Northern Europe Director, so they’re equipped to perform at their best and drive culture aligned to company values and behaviors. Build strong relationships with managers and employees based on respect and trust, to partner effectively, influence decision making, and coach on a range of confidential and sensitive topics. Manage employee relations topics as they arise, and take appropriate measures to root cause issues and rectify Negotiation partner to the French Works Council Organizational Effectiveness: Manage the day-to-day HR systems and activities, in conjunction with the HR People Solutions, Talent acquisition and Total Rewards teams in their respective areas of expertise for the scope. Leverage employee data and analytics to inform decision making, spot workforce trends, and drive continuous improvement in the workplace and in general employee experience. Work with the Finance team on OPEX accuracy and HR costs control Employee Experience/Building Culture: Lead and influence change, design interventions to drive the appropriate culture, behaviors, skills, and performance and provide insight and leadership on change management strategy, planning and implementation relating to organizational goals Partner with leaders to develop, implement and follow up on employee engagement proposals and plans. Ensure these are reinforced to embed cultural change in the longer term. Strategic Talent Management: Partner to facilitate annual performance management and compensation planning as well as calibration sessions. Work with managers and employees to embed talent management processes to identify and develop talent (including coaching Leaders to help their teams develop robust differentiated development plans and supporting to ensure relevant 70/20/10 solutions intensified and implemented). Build relationships with high potential employees, acting as talent broker encouraging the transfer of individuals across business units. Provide ad hoc facilitation and training to support business leaders and team development. HR Operations: Work closely with regional HR operations team members to support/approve where needed, directly manage employees completing country specific HR programs & initiatives, ensure new starters/offboarding are well managed. Support the development and implementation of relevant HR policies, procedures and practices that allow the business to work more efficiently Lead key legislative changes that impact HR Operations responsibilities providing with training and guideline. Provide general HR support such as colleague inquiry resolution and HR general service to employees. Maintain compliance with country regulations concerning all aspects of employment (vacation, overtime pay, employee benefit eligibility, health & safety due process, payroll processed, etc.) Partnership with COEs: Work with the CoEs on reporting, data accuracy, compliance, and employee data audits. Manages the preparation of such reports as are necessary to carry out the functions of the department. Prepares periodic reports for management, as necessary or requested, to track strategic goal accomplishment. Work closely with Total Rewards team to implement global initiatives related to pay, benefits and reward programs. Coordinate job evaluation to identify appropriate pay and level, keeping equity within the country. Work closely with DEI and develop strategies to further the diversity and inclusion agenda at local level, driven by employees in Market. Work closely with Talent on consistent delivery of global talent processes/programs KEY SKILLS & COMPETENCIES: Relationship Building & Stakeholder Management skills Recruiting skills Problem solving Influencing & Negotiating Skills Coaching Continuous improvement mindset Strong written and oral communication skills, and comfortable facilitating and presenting to groups Ability to navigate complex matrix environments effectively Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment while maintaining a good eye for detail Planning and project management Multitasking Strong inter-personal skills Change Management Experience with Success Factors EXPERIENCE & QUALIFICATIONS: Bachelor’s Degree in business, human resources or related discipline 3 - 5 years of Human Resources Generalist experience Experience in at least one of the following areas; learning and development, talent acquisition, human resource business partnering Previous experience managing business groups through the full life cycle recruitment & talent / performance management process is ideal Ability to handle information in a confidential manner Excellent communication skills both verbal and written Proven ability to effectively influence and make an impact on a wide array of stakeholders at all levels of the organization Agile, adaptable and resilient. Enjoys working in a fast paced and consumer-centric culture Ability to develop strong trusting relationships in order to gain support and achieve results.
