Senior Bioinformatician / Computational Biologist

Location : Paris, France Position Type : Full-time Industry : Biotechnology / Life Sciences EUR 100,000 PA We are seeking an experienced Senior Bioinformatician / Computational Biologist to lead bioinformatics efforts in a mid-size biotechnology company in Paris. You will design and implement computational workflows for genomics, proteomics, and other omics data to support transformative R&D projects. Key Responsibilities Develop and maintain bioinformatics pipelines for large-scale omics data analysis, including genomics, transcriptomics, proteomics, and metabolomics. Conduct integrative data analyses to uncover novel biological insights, supporting R&D efforts in drug discovery, biomarker development. Collaborate with wet lab scientists, data scientists, and software engineers to interpret complex biological datasets and validate findings. Design and execute machine learning and statistical modelling approaches. Ensure data quality, reproducibility, and integrity by implementing robust computational frameworks and documentation. Prepare detailed reports, visualisations, and presentations to communicate findings to stakeholders. Mentor junior bioinformaticians and provide guidance on best practices in computational biology. Qualifications and Experience PhD in Bioinformatics, Computational Biology, or related field, or a Master’s with additional equivalent experience. 4 years of experience in omics data analysis and bioinformatics tools. Proficiency in Python, R, or similar languages, and cloud computing platforms. Strong problem-solving, teamwork, and communication skills. Familiarity with cloud computing platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud) and high-performance computing environments.
