Job Description
We are seeking a highly skilled Automotive System Design Engineer with a minimum of 5 years of experience in system design, integration, and development. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing and developing advanced automotive systems, ensuring seamless integration across various subsystems, and supporting product lifecycle activities from concept to production. Key Responsibilities: Define system objectives, component interfaces, and system behaviors. Lead system engineering activities within a technical team and actively contribute to project delivery. Oversee the integration of contributions from various teams, ensuring quality and compliance before final delivery. Participate in specification, implementation, and verification cycles to ensure system and non-functional requirements are met. Implement system architecture strategies and roadmaps, driving projects to final product delivery. Conduct conceptual studies, exploring alternatives to establish comprehensive system concepts. Support product managers by clarifying capability needs and breaking them down into functional or technical solutions. Contribute to the development of technical and system architecture roadmaps. Manage interfaces and ensure non-functional requirements are met, particularly in agile project environments. Qualifications: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Electronics, or a related field. 5 years of experience in automotive system design and development. Proficiency in system design tools such as CATIA, SolidWorks, or equivalent. Knowledge of electrical and electronic system design and ECU development in the automotive industry. Familiarity with automotive development processes. Strong knowledge of vehicle communication protocols (CAN, LIN). Experience with system modeling tools such as MATLAB/Simulink or similar. Familiarity with industry standards and functional safety principles (ISO 26262). Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills. Ability to work collaboratively in a dynamic, fast-paced environment. Proficiency in both written and spoken French and English. Preferred Skills: Experience with electric or hybrid vehicle systems.
