CHIRAL Technologies Europe is a European subsidiary of DAICEL Corporation, a Japanese company with activities in chemicals and life sciences, among others. On their behalf we are recruiting a : Technical Sales Representative F/M Context of the position: The Technical Sales Representative will be responsible for the full sales cycle, from generating leads for new customers to closing sales and meeting targets, resulting in growth for the current laboratory products business within the Life Sciences market. In addition, the candidate will have a responsibility for new business development. Territory is defined to include the EU, UK, Switzerland, Africa and Middle East. S/he will determine customer needs and choose appropriate products to maintain current territory revenue. In addition to traditional sales responsibilities, the TSR will use a high level of organizational skills to monitor multiple customer inquiry portals and respond to inquiries in a timely manner to coordinate and oversee the flow of Daicel services or products within the territory. Technical knowledge is necessary to determine need or determine when to refer to technical team for further assistance. TSR will maintain the database including customer info, meeting notes and product usage. Responsibilities: Reporting to the Commercial Director Europe, you identify and develop relationships with users, purchasing managers, distributors and resellers. Quickly become an expert in the portfolio to accurately provide customer understanding and support. Explore new customers and markets to introduce and promote new products. Maintain/Grow existing customer demand for Daicel products and services through responsive communications and technical support. Collaborate with technical team on customer needs vs capabilities. A training on the product line will be provided. Organize technical support meetings with customer and CTE technical team as needed. Attend regional conferences and exhibitions and on-site customer visits Maintain current customer records in CRM, create quotes as needed and follow up. Profile EDUCATION : Bachelor’s degree in science, Biology preferred. Engineer, Master's Degree or PhD in Biological or Biochemical Sciences (or equivalent in Life Science areas, such as Molecular & Cellular Biology, Biochemistry or Immunology). EXPERIENCE : At least 5 years of experience in sales in a life science or molecular biology Experienced in working with Academics, Government Institutions, Chemical and Life Science Industry. Fluency in English (written and oral) is essential. French and other European languages would be an asset. Familiarity with CRM and proficient at maintaining the database with current and accurate information Demonstrated ability working in multiple countries in EU. Travel: Role is ideally based at the HQ in Illkirch, France, optionally frequent presence at the HQ in Illkirch, France, travel will be required to attend industry conferences and to meet with customers within territory. A company car will be provided.
