Job Description
Role VP of Sales Development- Europe-Africa (London Based) The positions are a critical role for the growth of the Company. There is considerable potential to grow our current market share worldwide with both new and existing customer accounts. This growth will come both from geographical expansion and from developing our sales networks in existing markets. The VP of Sales Development will be responsible for maximizing our sales revenue through a network of international sales agents as well as developing direct customer accounts with existing and new customers. The position will involve a high degree of international travel. The role is suited to a confident, and organized, sales professional, who has worked in a similar role for a fragrance company. RESPONSIBILITIES: Achieve distribution width by opening new markets and developing existing territories. Identifies channel opportunities and takes initiative to drive growth Effectively negotiate with Principals Builds, develops, and strengthens distribution infrastructure Provides feedback to Head Office on competition on-field execution Builds and grow relationships with channel partners - distributors, key retail accounts Owns & drives all key sales initiatives originated by Head Office Validate and check the implementation of the local marketing plan of the different distributors, A&P investments guidelines by initiative depending on the agent structures Make sure that the marketing tools given by the Brand are adapted to the needs of the market (products & POSM information, guidelines, etc.) Communicate the merchandising strategy to the retailers/agents, in coordination with the visual merchandising; make sure that the merchandising tools are consistent with the local specificities. Provide timely feedback to head office regarding international sales performance. Ensures that all field sales team members & distributors completely comply with the company’s sales system & processes; and follow ethical business practices The Ideal Candidate REQUIREMENTS: The successful candidate shall be an energetic, effective, self-starter with strong verbal and written communication skills who is able to excel in an international sales environment. 7 years fragrance industry experience with an emphasis on international business development required. Fluency in English Relationships with distributors in the Europe-Africa Strong communication and presentation skills, while interacting successfully across cultures Customer service oriented and organized. Must have a natural ability to engage in business relationships with individuals and groups. Strong judgment and decision-making skills. Negotiation and persuasion skills. Entrepreneurial & Fast Paced working environment Critical thinking and creative problem-solving skills. Ability to travel with short-notice. Ability to travel 50% of the time.
