FOUNDING ENGINEER FINTECH NEW YORK, NY (Full time on-site) $170,000 - $200,000 EQUITY THE COMPANY We’re partnering with an AI platform that focuses on automating complex workflows with exceptional precision. They collaborate closely with their key customer base to provide innovative solutions that significantly reduce manual effort and increase efficiency. The small, dynamic team is composed of experts in AI and research, and they are seeking a Founding Engineer to help bring their product from the development stage to full-scale implementation. THE ROLE — FOUNDING ENGINEER As a Founding Engineer, you’ll report directly to the Head of Engineering, and play a pivotal role in maintaining and scaling their systems. This is a high-impact role where you’ll: Ensure system reliability over time, ensuring data accuracy and scalability. Bring research to production, moving projects from ideation to real-world application. Implement and build the backend infrastructure and data pipelines that power their AI-driven solutions. Work closely with their ML and R&D teams to ensure the models perform at scale and with accuracy. Take ownership of architecting and planning projects from scratch (0-1). Have a business-focused mindset, ensuring that your engineering solutions align with the broader business needs. SKILLS & REQUIREMENTS Experience in backend development, with a strong emphasis on Python. Proven track record of taking projects from 0-1, including architecting, planning, and scaling systems. Experience working in a hyper-growth startup environment, ideally from seed to Series A. Deep understanding of data pipelines and the ability to scale models efficiently and accurately. A business mindset, able to balance technical decisions with the bigger picture. Enthusiasm for working in a collaborative, fast-paced startup environment where you’ll work closely with the co-founders daily. THE BENEFITS As a Founding Engineer you will receive a base up to $200,000 equity (depending on experience). This role also includes health, dental, and vision care.
