ORGANISATIONAL CONTEXT: The position is based in HQ and reports to the Chief of TEC Strategy, Governance and Partnerships (TECG). Under the Technology Division, the Strategy, Governance, and Partnerships Branch is responsible for ensuring the coherence of strategy, governance, policies, and partnerships with external actors in the IT function. JOB PURPOSE: Under the supervision of the Chief of Governance and Partnerships, this position will be responsible for implementing governance practices across the TEC division, including supporting the management of technology and data-related WFP governance bodies to ensure effective oversight and decision-making. KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES: Participate in the development of business planning and strategy to advocate for business results and outcomes. Develop and provide quality assurance of policies and standards from TEC. Keep abreast of relevant knowledge and best practices in the IT industry. Build and nurture strategic and working relationships with the business. Manage business expectations in servicing demand and oversee the success of business change initiatives. Define and utilize techniques for eliciting, understanding, analyzing, documenting, validating, and communicating business objectives. Manage the delivery of projects to ensure solutions transfer into the business. Manage and motivate a team of staff, providing coaching, training, and guidance. OTHER SPECIFIC JOB REQUIREMENTS: Lead TEC policy cycle management including the annual review of the policy portfolio. Oversee and coordinate independent audit and evaluation matters for TEC. Manage governance body proceedings including Digital Business and Technology Committee and IT Advisory Board. Represent the Governance and Partnership Branch/TEC Division at various internal and external fora. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE: Education: Advanced university degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field; or Business Administration or Economics with relevant experience and/or training in technology. Experience: At least eight (8) years of professional experience in IT governance frameworks and IT policy formulation. Knowledge & skills: Advanced understanding of the COBIT Framework and its application. Technical knowledge in IT governance and risk management. TERMS AND CONDITIONS: Mobility is and continues to be a core contractual requirement in WFP.
