Job Description
Financial Management and Reporting Oversee the preparation of accurate and timely monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements. Ensure compliance with accounting standards (IFRS/GAAP) and statutory regulations. Prepare and review management reports, including analysis of key financial metrics and variances. Budgeting and Cost Control Assist with budget preparation, collaborating with department heads to ensure alignment with strategic goals. Monitor and manage manufacturing costs, including material, labour, and overhead expenses. Identify and implement cost-saving initiatives and efficiency improvements. Cash Flow and Working Capital Management Oversee cash flow planning to ensure the company has adequate liquidity to meet its operational needs. Manage working capital, including inventory, receivables, and payables, to optimise financial performance. Financial Planning and Strategy Contribute to the development and execution of the company's financial strategy. Support senior management with strategic analysis, including CAPEX projects. Provide insights and recommendations for improving profitability and operational efficiency. Compliance and Risk Management Ensure compliance with tax regulations, VAT, customs duties, and other statutory requirements. Lead internal and external audits, providing necessary documentation and ensuring resolution of findings. Manage internal controls to safeguard company assets and maintain data accuracy. Operational Support Partner with manufacturing teams to analyze production costs and improve operational processes. Monitor and report on key performance indicators (KPIs) for manufacturing operations. Support inventory valuation processes and oversee the integrity of inventory accounting systems. Qualified CA (SA) Completed articles, experience within Manufacturing, Engineering, FMCG or Mining industry Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a focus on identifying inefficiencies and delivering measurable operational improvements. Excellent communication and leadership skills to interact effectively with cross-functional teams Unwavering commitment to accuracy, compliance, and maintaining the highest standards of financial and operational integrity
