Jnr Truck, Trailer and Yellow Machine Workshop Manager

Located in Bredell, Kempton Park  Assist and Shadow Workshop Manager with day-to day operations to learn and ultimately take over  Sourcing of Truck, Trailer and Yellow machine parts at the best price, and quality depending on the urgency of the repair at hand.  To monitor breakdowns on group and log breakdowns with OEM or send a technician.  Learning Syrinx Workshop Management Software: o Opening, assigning and re-assigning Jobs to Technicians including Breakdowns that will suit them best that requires urgency and that they are always busy. o Checking and closing Job cards and doing parts Costing o Raising Purchase Orders, Doing Receipts, Entering Supplier Invoices.  Writing of Manual orders, and linking invoicing to orders with other admin parallel with new Syrinx Software with aim to be paperless in time.  Service and repair parts inventory monitoring and replenishing, packing and organizing store and office  Service schedule update and reminders on Syrinx and excel sheets  Other service and campaign sheet updating in Syrinx and excel.  Have a "own business" mindset and to look at this role and costs and responsibility as if its your own business and fleet  Further Duties to be discussed in Interview Experience & Qualifications:  Basic Technical knowledge on Trucks, Trailers, yellow machines and Cars  Parts ordering experience preferred  Managing people before preferred  No Official Qualification needed, but would be an advantage  Fluent in English  Communication skills to build relationships with employees, suppliers, and negotiate pricing.  Basic Computer Skills specifically Excel with basic formulas, Outlook, etc. o Workshop/Parts software experience would be an advantage  Attention to detail, to work at a VERY Fast pace, and keep track of multiple tasks simultaneously  Good memory is needed, if you know you are forgetful you will not cope in this role Requests.  Standard Hours 7am-5pm be willing to work some Saturdays, and overtime if needed. o Trucks start as early as 4:30 and come in as late as 21:30, willing to action breakdowns or repairs to technicians in these hours, and Sometimes Saturdays and Sundays depending on workload.  Must have valid drivers license.  Own transport to and from work needed.
