Job Description

Duties would be but not limited to the following: As a procurement Clerk, you will be responsible for managing the day to day purchasing activities and supporting the stock and production teams, will maintain optimal stock levels, coordinate with suppliers and track orders to ensure the materials are always available to meet production deadlines. Coordinate and manage purchase orders based on production and stock requirements Communicate with suppliers to obtain quotes, negotiate prices and confirm lead times Monitor order status and do follow ups Maintain and prepare procurement records Liaise with internal departments Requirements, Qualifications and Skills: Proven experience in procurement, purchasing or a similar admin role in a manufacturing or engineering environment Proficiency in MS Office, especially Excel and Pastel Partner systems Understanding of occupational health and safety act and practices Must be in possession of a valid driver's license and own transport
