Job Description

Lokad is a company founded in 2008 and specialized in Supply Chain optimization. We help companies from different sectors (aeronautics, fashion, automotive, e-commerce, etc.) to forecast and make better decisions regarding their inventories. The majority of our clients are based outside of France, mainly in North America and Europe. Our team (about 50 people) is entirely based in Paris, but composed of international profiles, mostly engineers or R&D (most business conducted in English). Lokad is growing rapidly (40% over the last year) and is always looking for people who can grow with the company. For more than 10 years, Lokad has grown organically (and without VCs), mainly on the basis of inbound leads and with a very small sales team (3-4 people). We are now looking to expand this team and recruit someone who can merge the technical and business worlds. This person will do this by leveraging an advanced knowledge of our tools to address the constraints and specificities of supply chains in disparate sectors. We benefit from a mature technology and a product with recognized performance metrics, as well as references from major accounts, but selling Lokad is not easy. We are still a young company in an environment occupied by giants who have been in place for years. Our service is not easy to understand at first and our vision of the supply chain can be perceived as disruptive or even frightening. That said, everything is based on a few straightforward principles that can be grasped by anyone with an open and eager mind. Further, our solution addresses problems with high financial stakes, which are of great concern to companies. The market for such a service is huge and covers companies operating across the globe, thus the opportunities for expansion are huge. Your mission and main activities will be the following: Identify and establish a dialog with the companies that can benefit from our technology and win them over to Lokad’s vision on Supply Chain. Handle client relationships (most often with C-level contacts) Present and promote the product and the Lokad vision of Quantitative Supply Chain Respond to RFPs, RFIs, etc. Build and deliver relevant and customized demonstrations/commercial proposals; structure sales prices. Manage your sales pipeline (via Pipedrive), establish reporting, keep up-to-date paper trails of your exchanges and progress Manage your customer portfolio, ensure their satisfaction and negotiate any upsells and other evolutions. We are not a major company where all tasks are perfectly framed and segregated, so we expect you to be versatile and able to manage a negotiation from A to Z. On the other hand, you will have an appreciable degree of autonomy and creativity that will be highly encouraged (and recognised). You will have the opportunity to participate in the structuring of the team and the implementation of best practices. We expect from you: A BAC5 education (Master’s degree) Impeccable command of English (and, ideally, French) and telephone manners Competence in identifying, prospecting and qualifying new potential customers Proficiency in aligning sales strategies with broader business goals and objectives. Candidates must be self-motivated, confident and highly driven to achieve results and targets with a “hands on” attitude. The role is predominantly office based, although some travel will occasionally be required to customers, partners or events. We are located in the center of Paris, (83-85, Boulevard Vincent Auriol - 1 minute from “Chevaleret” subway station, line 6).
