Senior Piping Engineer - Nuclear

Job Title: Senior Piping Engineer Location: Paris, France Contract: 12 Months, Renewable Client: Major Energy EPC About the Role: Develop and review piping design documents, layouts, and 3D models using industry software (e.g., PDMS, AutoCAD, E3D, SmartPlant). Perform stress analysis, material selection, and hydraulic calculations. Ensure compliance with international codes (ASME, API, ISO) and company standards. Lead piping engineering activities through concept, FEED, and detailed design phases. Plan and allocate resources, manage timelines, and resolve technical issues. Collaborate with project managers, procurement teams, and construction engineers to ensure project deliverables are met. Coordinate with process, mechanical, structural, and instrumentation teams. Review vendor documentation, technical specifications, and equipment integration. Provide technical support during construction, installation, and commissioning stages. Conduct design reviews, HAZOP studies, and risk assessments. Ensure all piping systems comply with safety standards, environmental regulations, and quality control processes. Identify opportunities for process improvement and optimization. About You: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field. Minimum of 5 years experience in piping engineering, preferably in the oil and gas industry. Proficiency in design and analysis software such as PDMS, CAESAR II, AutoCAD, E3D, and SmartPlant. Strong understanding of industry standards (ASME, API, ISO, etc.). Experience leading teams and managing piping-related project activities. Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills. Fluency in English and French (written and spoken).
