Job Description
Jackson Hogg is delighted to be supporting a fantastic business in Newcastle on the appointment of a Finance Business Partner. Duties and responsibilities: Preparation of accurate monthly Management Accounts with relevant insights and commentary (P&L, Balance Sheet and cash flow). Prepare and review reconciliations to verify the accuracy of the management accounts, and perform monthly, quarterly, and year-to-date variance analysis to budget and prior year on P&L. Approval of journals. Continuously monitor financial KPIs, P&L, cash position and balance sheet, identifying variances and recommending areas for improvement. Preparation and review of monthly reporting packs and production and review of ad hoc cost centre reporting as requested. Business partner with the wider business heads for overhead and cost centre reporting and budget/forecast discussions. Assist in the delivery of and consolidation of monthly management accounts. Carry out indepth analysis to improve the accuracy of cost accruals. Provide support in response to external and internal audit requests. Presentation to Senior Management at month end. Experience: A minimum of 3 years’ experience within a similar role. Excellent working knowledge of Excel. Experiencing managing/supervising a team. Strong attention to detail. Excellent problem-solving and analytical abilities. Workday systems experience (desirable). Qualified Accountant with either, ACCA/ACA/CIMA.
