Specialist Engineer

We are seeking a Specialist Engineer - OSS to support our utility customer in ensuring the availability of OSS services. Your responsibilities will include both reactive and proactive support activities, maintaining top-notch OSS Solutions for network monitoring, performance optimization, and analytics. You will play a crucial role in supporting and managing IP & Data Network Management Systems, covering server hardware, operating systems, applications, backup solutions, and UAM. This hybrid position allows you to work from home, Magdalene offices, or the customer offices and data centers. As part of Magdalene's Professional Services, you will collaborate closely with Network Security Engineers, Network Engineers, the Network Management Centre, and other support teams to deliver exceptional service. Magdalene operates as a Telecommunication Infrastructure Services Company and is part of the Telecom Division of M Group Services. Covering the full network lifecycle, we deliver Managed Services and Projects for both fixed and mobile infrastructure networks across the operator and utility markets. What will your key responsibilities be? Day to day management of the OSS suite of services and underlying infrastructure as part of a 2nd Line team. Proactive and Reactive Incident Management User Access Management Vulnerability Management System Governance to ensure the effective operation of the services Providing Out of Hours Support via an On-Call Rota. What competencies are we looking for? Experience with supporting OSS applications from a 2nd and 3rd Line level Experience working with developers/vendors implementing fixes or improvements to systems Experience of LINUX and Microsoft Operating Systems Exposure to ITIL Methodologies The ability to explain complex technical issues in a simple, customer centric language About The Company Why choose us?
