Principal/Lead Mechanical Engineer

We have a requirement for an experienced Principal/Lead Mechanical Engineer to support the nexos team on a contract basis until August 2025 . This is a fulltime, outside IR35 role . Responsibilities: Provide mechanical expertise for tenders and proposals. Support and develop project engineering team. Drive efficiency and continuous improvement in systems and processes. Ensure work is delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest standards. Manage project scopes, schedules, and change control processes. Liaise with clients, attend meetings, and maintain clear communication. Review, approve, and oversee mechanical designs and outputs. What We’re Looking For Essential: Strong Oil & Gas industry experience. UK degree (or equivalent) in Mechanical Engineering. Chartered Engineer (CEng) and member of a recognised engineering institute. Expert knowledge of industry codes, standards, and practices. Proven leadership in managing small/medium-sized project teams. Technical, commercial, and contractual proficiency.
